Conclusion 2016 & outlook 2017

27.12.16

When we heard and read your feedback on this year's Klangtherapie, we could hardly believe it. It was the best feedback we've received from you in 13 years! Loving and beautiful words across the board. You were blown away. Some of you wanted it to never end.

We were overwhelmed by your impressions, especially as we saw very little of the festival itself this year. We did everything we could behind the scenes to make it a wonderful experience for you and to minimize the difficulties we faced. It was a year of superlatives, because we had big plans. A completely new area on undeveloped terrain, the new construction of the Sandpalast, 4 days of festival program, and then: constant rain. We did everything we could right up to the last minute to ensure that the festival could still go ahead as planned. Thanks again to the whole team & the many helpers (including the dear guests who lent a hand in such large numbers in the last few minutes) - it is impossible to put into words what you have put together!

The energy that is created year after year on the Field of Honor is something very special. It is magical. It is touching. It is LIFE! It is our drive and our reward. We wouldn't be here without you!

The Klangtherapie as a space to discover, to be free, to inspire and to DANCE. A music festival characterized by a magical and loving togetherness. A weekend for the body, soul and spirit, where everyone is welcome and treats each other with respect. That is our vision. We have come a long way towards achieving it!

  • The Valley of the Senses: We wanted to create a place of encounter, exchange and inspiration. An oasis of tranquillity on newly developed terrain, somewhat off the beaten track. Space to be pampered with a massage, try out workshops or take away new input from a lecture! The program was received with great interest by you. To everyone who didn't manage to come along this year: you'll have the opportunity again in 2017!
  • Thanks to the new construction of the Sandpalast into a beautiful open-air stage, we once again have the perfect place to integrate bands into the program. So we can create a music program that will make you all happy!
  • Keyword sustainability: the waste collection worked really well this year and most of you left the site very clean. Our wish is that even more awareness is reflected here in everyday festival life in the future. The amount of pavilions, camping chairs and tents that are left lying around should be reduced every year. We want to set ourselves apart from other festivals in this respect and not produce tons of garbage. Our piece of earth is too valuable for that! Tips for avoiding waste: Get creative and build your own festival tent from collected sticks and a tarpaulin. Or invest in camping equipment that will survive several festivals. Take any food that is still edible back with you or donate it to other campers or the Klangtherapie kitchen. Don't throw your cigarette butts on the ground, use pocket ashtrays instead. P.S. And one more urgent request: respect the NO GO AREAS. This year, some pieces of furniture destroyed our farmer's combine harvester. That's not necessary.

We are incredibly grateful that you are following the path we have chosen! As it feels like we've overdone it this year with "a little more here" and "a little more there", we want to shift down a gear in 2017, concentrate on what we already have and refine it. Just let us surprise you!

Now enjoy the last few days of this year, we look forward to 2017 with you!

With love, your crew

P.S. The Early Bird pre-sale for 2017 starts right on time for the new year on January 1st! If you want to be a part of Klangtherapie, you can apply as a helper from January or as an artist from March via our homepage.
