At the suggestion of state parliament member Dr. Sabine Weigand (B'90/Grüne), we receive the Bavarian Pop Culture Prize in the category "Festival of the Year", which has been awarded by the Verband für Popkultur in Bayern e.V. (VPBy) since 1991.
"The freedom to be who we are." This has been the motto of our festival in Franconian Switzerland since 2003. We make it our mission to work towards an open-minded and non-discriminatory utopia, which is also reflected in the program at Klangtherapie. In addition to a diverse music program consisting of electronic music and bands from all over the world and the region, a multifaceted program for body & mind is offered: Yoga, lectures and workshops on socially relevant topics are intended to inspire visitors to live a conscious and environmentally friendly life and to live together respectfully and peacefully.
In its decision, the jury particularly emphasized the holistic concept of Klangtherapie with its sustainable and solidary character.
The other winners are "Chili Kunst Kultur Kneipe" in Dillingen (inclusion), "Radio BUH" from Grassau am Chiemsee (sustainability) and "Hirsch" from Nuremberg (club of the year). All prizes are endowed with €2000 each. The prize money for the Klangtherapie festival is sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. The award ceremony will be held on November 30 in Munich by Minister of State Bernd Sibler.
