After a 2-year break, the time had finally come again! The Klangtherapie was allowed to wake up from its slumber. To be honest, we were super excited. We hadn't faced as many challenges and uncertainties as this year for a long time.
First of all, there were the financial ones. We also had to deal with lower visitor numbers after Corona and for the first time in many years we were not sold out, despite a lower number of tickets. Added to this were the exorbitant price increases in almost every area of production. Furthermore, our goal was to create a sponsor-free festival and still pay our crew a fair wage! We ran the risk of not being able to cover our costs. Unfortunately this is the case. Bills are still coming in that have to be paid, but the income has long since been used up. Despite the bridging aid and the "Neustart Kultur" funds, we will be looking back on a financial loss that can only be covered by reserves from previous years.
Then there are the personnel issues. New colleagues had to be brought on board in many areas. The clean-up and garbage crew Psyclean had canceled, our catering and awareness teams had to be reorganized, to name just a few examples.
When the first sounds rang out across the festival site at the opening of the festival on Thursday, a lot of the tension fell away from us. It was done. You were there, in all your wonderful facets, and finally filled the field with life and love again. Thank you for you and your loving and considerate interaction with each other.
Our vision of creating a techno festival where families also feel at home became reality this year. The positive feedback from visitors young and old touched us deeply and showed us that it's worth breaking new ground.
We were also blown away by the super clean campsite. Thank you for your conscious approach to nature!
Outlook 2023
Next year we will look back on 20 years of Klangtherapie and are highly motivated to further develop our utopia and integrate your constructive feedback!
This includes a stage concept that leaves nothing to be desired. We know that some of you really missed the Bass Temple this year. We're still working on a design that will allow us to present enough techno (keyword: Basstempelchen) and alternative music forms, even with a smaller number of visitors, without missing out on the DrumHerum program.
We also want to make sure that only families are on the family campsite and that the area is therefore a safe haven for our little ones.
In order to be able to continue to offer you the usual quality and to realize our goal of fair remuneration, it is inevitable to increase the ticket price permanently. You can find all information and ticket categories in our store. We are also offering new solidarity tickets. If you have enough financial leeway, you can use this ticket to enable another person with a lower income to visit Klangtherapie. Day tickets will also be available, information on these will follow in the new year.
The motorized arrival of guests is one of the biggest CO2 emitters at a festival. In order to make a sustainable journey more attractive for you, we will be offering very affordable bus shuttle tickets from spring. However, if you arrive in a motorized vehicle, you will pay a 15 euro parking fee. You can get the tickets for this in the store from now on. To simplify the motorhome situation for everyone, there will no longer be a separate motorhome campsite. Instead, you can park your sleeping car on the entire campsite. For this you need one of the limited campervan tickets, the parking fee is of course included.
The Klangtherapie is a festival that can only be realized thanks to the creativity, sweat and passion of several hundred people. At this point, a huge thank you goes out to our existing team and every new face - thank you for your tireless efforts. Thanks to your help, we were able to realize our common dream together despite all the difficulties.
