Traveling to the festival is one of the biggest sources of CO2 emissions. To make a sustainable journey even more attractive for you, we offer inexpensive shuttle bus tickets. However, if you arrive by motorized vehicle, you will have to pay a 15 euro parking fee. The tickets are available now in the store.
Car-ticket
If you are arriving by car, you will need a parking ticket. This costs €15. Is that too expensive for you? Then consider buying a much cheaper bus shuttle ticket.
Camper-ticket - normal camping
If you want to park your camping-car (buses, campers, motorhomes, caravans and cars with mattresses) on the normal campsite, you now need one of our very limited WoMo-tickets. This will cost you 30 €. This ticket is only valid for one vehicle.
We reserve the right to refuse you access to the campsite after a visual inspection by our staff if you do not meet the above criteria. There will no longer be a separate motorhome campsite as in previous years.
Camper-ticket - family camping
The same applies to the family ticket as to the normal WoMo ticket, with one addition: this ticket is only valid with children on board!
If you have not received a camper-ticket, you will unfortunately not be able to stay at the campsite. Instead, you will have to spend the night in our parking lot. Please note: It is not allowed to set up tents of friends there. However, a retractable awning or similar is fine.
Upgrade to a camper-ticket possible on site.
In good weather conditions (= more passable field area) we will allocate a small contingent of camper-tickets on site. If you would like to upgrade, please contact the parking lot attendants directly. If there are still tickets available, you can pay the difference of 15 euros and move to the normal campsite.
First come, first serve!
Yes, there are resident tickets for our neighbors from the surrounding villages. Residents within a radius of one kilometer receive free admission. Residents within a 3 km radius pay a reduced price of 50 euros. It is not necessary to register in advance. Come to the festival with your identity card to the info container at the entrance to the festival site. Your address will tell us whether you are a resident or not. If you are not registered here, we unfortunately cannot grant you discounted admission. Children and young people under the age of 16 can enter free of charge with their parents. However, our youth protection regulations must be observed in all cases. These can be found in the youth & family section.
Yes, day tickets will be available in our ticket store from April 1. Day tickets will also be available at the box office, but will be more expensive than in advance.
There will be a box office. However, the tickets are cheaper during presale!
Advance sales close on July 29 at 9 a.m. After that, you can still get tickets at the box office, but they will be more expensive than in advance sales.

If you would like to help, you have two options:
1. you earn your ticket during or after the festival.
2. you earn your ticket before the festival.
Write in the comment section of the form if you have a favourite work area. Or if you have an exceptionally helpful talent or do an exceptionally helpful job (e.g. welding, sewing, electrics or you can operate heavy equipment).
However, we do not guarantee that we will actually consider your request.
Signing up to work is not an “option” - we rely on you, schedule you and don't give this shift to other people! Each of these shifts is super important for the smooth running of the festival.
The employee tickets will only be sent out shortly before the festival.
Set-up, dismantling, garbage collector, steward, parking lot helper, jumper, dishwashing professional and many more.

Logo!
The Klangtherapie-Festival takes place in the heart of Franconian Switzerland near Scherleithen, Plankenfels. The nearest larger towns are Bamberg, Bayreuth and Nuremberg. On the A70 between Bamberg and Bayreuth, take the Stadelhofen exit in the direction of Hollfeld and Plankenfels. Shortly before Plankenfels, turn off towards Wadendorf at the Alte Eisenbahn restaurant. After Scherleithen there is a dirt road on the right that leads you to the festival site.
The address for your navigation system is Scherleithen, 95515 Plankenfels.
The easiest way is to take the train to one of the following stations: Bamberg or Nuremberg. From there, you can easily hop on one of our shuttle buses.
There are also public buses from Bayreuth directly to us in Wadendorf (bus timetable Bayreuth - Hollfeld), or from Bamberg via Hollfeld to Wadendorf (bus timetable Bamberg - Hollfeld, then bus timetable Hollfeld - Bayreuth).
Everything around camping
Get electricity directly to your tent with the charging flat rate from PWRBOKS. For example, you can bring an electrically powered cool box with you. Simply book in advance and collect it conveniently on site.
And best of all - if your device is empty, you can bring it to the festival stand and exchange it for a full device.
(ID card, driver's license or health insurance card must be left as a deposit)
The campsite is open from 10 am on Thursday. Before that and without a ticket you will not be admitted to the campsite!
So that everything can be prepared smoothly, we ask you to give the crew the necessary space for the final preparations and not to enter the festival site until the official entrance.
Be prepared that barbecues will not be allowed. In recent years, due to the drought, there has usually been a forest fire risk of level 4-5, and we assume that it will be similar this year. Open fires are generally not permitted.
We open the festival area on Thursday at 7 pm.
Our DrumHerum program also starts on Friday morning - so it's worth arriving early!
No!
So that everyone can enjoy a relaxing time on the campsite, we ask you to refrain from using emergency generators and music systems. There will be music around the clock at the festival, and the campsite serves as a retreat for relaxation. We want everyone to feel comfortable - please be considerate of each other.
Unfortunately, we have had problems with theft in recent years. Please take care of your belongings and also take a look at your neighboring camps! If you notice anything strange, call the security. Please do yourself a favor and don't leave any valuables in your tent.
Parking and camping are separate. This means that your cars must be parked in the parking lot. From there it is a 5-10 minute walk to the campsite.
If you want to park your sleeping car (buses, campers, motorhomes, caravans and cars with mattresses) on the campsite or the family campsite (only possible with children on board), you need one of our very limited Womo tickets. We reserve the right to refuse you access to the campsite after a visual inspection by our staff if you do not meet the above criteria. There will no longer be a separate motorhome campsite as in previous years. You will not be able to leave the campsite in between, but will only be granted access once.
If you no longer have a campervan ticket, you will be allocated a pitch on site. In this case you will need a normal parking lot ticket.
No!
In order to ensure a safe and pleasant festival experience for everyone, dogs and other animals are not permitted on the entire site. This applies to both the festival site and the campsite.
Yes, of course. Whether it's beer cans, champagne bottles or home-brewed schnapps - you can eat whatever you like on the campsite!
Yes, ask our parking lot crew when you arrive, they will show you the way.
Everything about minors & family
I am a minor or have a Kulturpass.
Yes, but only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We only accept our parental authorization form - general parenting forms do NOT entitle you to participate in the festival.
As the protection of minors is very important to us, we have developed a parenting form with special requirements. You can find the exact youth protection regulations and the form for transferring parental authority here.
Please read the form and the attachment carefully - this will save you and us stress at the festival entrance. We cannot let you onto the site without valid documents!
I would like to come with my family.
... we couldn't imagine in the past. But since we have children of our own, all the more so. We have made it our mission to create a festival where families can feel completely at ease.
We answer the most frequently asked questions here. We look forward to seeing you.
AND: Don't forget your hearing protection!
During the day between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., young people and children under the age of 16 are welcome to attend - but only if directly accompanied by their parents. Please bring your child's ID with you.
Children aged 3-15 require a children's ticket. Children from 0-2 years are free of charge. From the age of 16 you pay the full price.
Let the kids take over!
The Kids Space is open from Friday to Sunday with a colorful program! Crafts, games and fun with natural and upcycling materials. Accompanied and guided by experienced educators.
You can find the program on site.
Yes, absolutely. Protect your little ones from hearing damage and either bring suitable hearing protection or borrow one for €5 from the info container. (+15 € deposit)
There are two family campsites for families - a quiet one that is a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the festival and a very close, but louder campsite. Talk to our parking lot attendants and tell them which of the two campsites you would like to go to.
In principle, you can take your children anywhere.
But there is one exception. The Bass Temple is an absolute child-free zone in the morning hours before the workshops start.
Everything about the everyday festival life
The freedom to be who we are.
Our festival is a place of freedom and respectful interaction. For many, this means dressing the way they feel comfortable or moving freely while dancing - without being stared at, danced at, chatted up or touched.
For us, awareness means consciousness, sensitivity and attentiveness. That is why we have had an awareness team for several years now.
Our greatest concern is that everyone feels safe and comfortable. For this to succeed, we all need to pay attention and get involved. We want to create a festival that is as inclusive and respectful as possible. That is why we are actively committed to ensuring that any form of discrimination - be it racist, sexist, sexualized, homophobic, anti-disability, adultist or otherwise exclusionary - has no place here. Our wish is to create a space in which everyone can feel free without having to fear attacks or border violations.
Consent is key. Whatever you share with each other - it should be based on mutual consent. Asking questions creates clarity for everyone involved, gives room to say no and ensures that encounters remain respectful and pleasant. In this way, we can create an atmosphere together in which everyone can develop freely.
NO NIPPLES POLICY at the bars: Patriarchal power structures are to blame: Not everyone can move around naked in everyday life. This injustice must be abolished. In solidarity, we are celebrating 4 festival days with a NO NIPPLES POLICY at the bars. More information can be found here.
If you feel uncomfortable, are experiencing a difficult situation or simply need a break, we are here for you. Feel free to come to us or call us on 0176-50865211. You will always find a sympathetic ear at the Place of the Senses in the quiet tent. Our team is easy to recognize on the premises - we wear pink high-visibility vests.
We look forward to exchanging ideas with you at workshops, talks and discussions. Let's live the change together!
Fancy a bit of Klangtherapie at home? Then bring your own fabric and come to the screen printing stand. There you can print legendary Klang-motifs onto your belongings.
You can get our Klangtherapie merchandise (hoodies & cotton bags in this year's design, corduroy caps and socks, stickers & posters) at the kiosk next to the bass temple.
You are welcome to bring water with you to the festival grounds. There are also freely accessible water stations on site for refilling.
As we are a family-friendly festival, it is not permitted to smoke weed near the Kids Space or in the immediate presence of children. Please take care of our little ones and make each other aware of this. In case of non-compliance, we are forced to make use of our house rules, because the protection of minors comes first.
No.
Audio and video recordings - even for private use - are not permitted. It is possible that infringements may be prosecuted by various artists.
No! Our decoration is made in weeks of work for you and the eye - we sincerely ask you not to destroy or take away any of it.
In the event of a severe thunderstorm, we will have to evacuate the festival site. Please follow the instructions of the security staff, leave the area immediately and go to your cars (this is the safest place) or alternatively to your tents or to the assembly point above the info container. If you cannot find a safe place or do not know where to go, contact the security staff. Keep calm in any case. When the music starts again, you can return to the area and continue dancing!
Everything to do with inclusion
Yes,
please register in advance by email.
Yes, you are welcome to take an accompanying person with you free of charge. Both come to the info container, show your ID and your companion will receive a wristband directly
Yes, we have a quiet campsite in a particularly peaceful location.
The condition of our grounds is unfortunately dependent on the weather - so it is only partly in our hands. In good weather, the entire site is barrier-free.
At our campsite for people with walking disabilities, which is located directly at the entrance to the festival site, there is a barrier-free porta-potty. This is locked and you can pick up the key at the information container.
Everything to do with sustainability and waste
Good question - this is really where you come in! Because we are just a small crew of volunteers and collecting garbage is a lot of work. The meadow needs to be clean again, and even small pieces of plastic, butts and bottle caps need to be picked up. That's why it would be cool if each of you collected a bag full of garbage - after all, it's your garbage too! And the sooner it's gone, the sooner nature can recover from our festival.
We dream of a world in which ecological sustainability and social justice are a matter of course! That's why we have 90% vegetarian/vegan stalls*, some of which are organic, where you can bring your own dishes. We separate our waste, create our decorations largely through upcycling and feed the crew and artists with organic food. Our supporting program with over 65 workshops, lectures and forms of movement such as yoga also opens up perspectives on a more conscious life and on nature and the environment.
_____
*The remaining 10% is the bratwurst stand. Organized on a voluntary basis by the Schressendorf volunteer fire department. These are our immediate neighbors who have been sympathetic to our festival for 20 years. For peace in our region, this bratwurst stand is, so to speak, the link between the festival and the local residents. We are therefore happy to accept that there is only one stall here that is allowed to sell meat (directly from the rural butcher next door).
With your ticket you have paid an extra 5 euros as a garbage deposit or “garbage solidarity surcharge”. You can get this back if you show solidarity with the environment and the Klangtherapie crew by handing in a full bin bag with a waste deposit stamp.
You can drop off your full (!) garbage bags at the garbage station at the campsite on Sunday from 8 am - 7 pm and Monday from 8 am - 12 pm.
Everything about Franconian Switzerland
The small but beautiful and, above all, extremely refreshing Wiesent river flows through Wadendorf. Show respect for the environment and do not use care products such as sun cream, shampoo or shower gel there and take your garbage back with you.
Only the designated bathing areas may be used!
If you want to dive even deeper, head to one of the nearby swimming pools. One is located in Hollfeld and the other in Waischenfeld.
In Hollfeld, about 7 km in the direction of the highway, you will find supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacies and ATMs.
In the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park, there are endless beautiful things to do and wonderful landscapes to discover - whether on foot, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking on the Wiesent, climbing up to the sky or descending on a cave tour!
If you would like to add a few more days to your vacation, you can find all the information about the area here.
